AF Systems strengthens its presence in Spain with an autumn of technical events

From Bilbao to Madrid, Seville, Girona and Barcelona, AF Systems will meet with industry professionals to explore passive fire protection in greater depth, from system selection to integration into the project.

AF Systems is intensifying its activity in the Spanish market with a programme of events aimed at designers, engineers and fire safety professionals.
Founded in 1993 near Milan, the company develops passive fire protection solutions for service penetrations, structural joints and other compartmentation discontinuities.

The autumn programme combines the presentation of solutions, some of which feature CE marking, with a discussion of the issues that arise directly on site and the most innovative physical and digital solutions available on the market.
The first event will be the DPA Fórum Bilbao, taking place on 7 and 8 October. During the 8 October session, AF Systems will give a presentation on the passive fire protection of cable, pipe and ventilation duct penetrations, as well as solutions for linear joints and curtain walls. Topics will include the criteria for selecting the most suitable system, the solutions available and BIM tools supporting the design process.
The dialogue will continue online on 16 October with a webinar organised by Infoedita on passive fire protection for service penetrations. The event will explore the relationship between fire safety requirements and design decisions, also through the use of digital tools. AF Systems provides professionals with a 3D configurator to identify solutions according to the parameters of each application, together with technical documentation and BIM objects for integration into the project.

At the end of the month, the company will take part in the DPA Fórum Madrid, on 28 and 29 October, with a presentation scheduled for 29 October. The Bilbao and Madrid events will provide an opportunity to discuss these topics with professionals working in different contexts and to gather questions relating both to the design phase and to the conditions encountered on site, including support for product installation.

From service penetrations to structural joints
The protection of service penetrations covers a wide range of applications. The AF Systems range includes, for example, panels for sealing openings and mixed penetrations, as well as intumescent systems for specific types of pipes. Alongside these solutions, the protection of structural joints requires consideration of their width and, where applicable, their movement: aspects that must be compatible with the tested configuration of the selected system.
The technical dialogue will continue in Spain in November. On 10 November, AF Systems will organise an event with COAM Madrid, in collaboration with Ashes Fire. A further meeting is also being prepared at COAS Seville, scheduled for the following day, 11 November. This will be followed by the Girona event on 17 November and DPA Fórum Barcelona on 18 and 19 November.

The programme also includes two international events: Expoprotection in Paris, from 3 to 5 November, and Fireforum in Belgium, on 17 November.
With this programme of events, AF Systems is strengthening its dialogue with designers and industry professionals. The exchange of knowledge on real-world needs, from design through to construction, is part of the work through which the company develops its solutions and provides technical support to those who use them.
