Discover the AF Systems 2026 updates

over the past few months, we have been working intensively in the field of research and development, and we are pleased to share important updates concerning new products and test results that further expand the application range of our existing product portfolio.

New ETA Certifications

We have obtained ETA certification (European Technical Assessment) for the following products/systems:

- AF PIPEGUARD, fire protection mat for uninsulated metal pipe, busbar and cable penetrations, tested up to EI 240 according to EN 1366-3.

- AF FLEX JOINT, flexible intumescent fire protection for expansion joints, allowing movements up to 40% and a nominal joint width up to 300 mm.

- AF SAFEGUARD, flexible protection for metal ducts certified EI 120/180 for external fire (EN 1366-1, part “A”) and internal fire (EN 1366-1, part “B” and EN 1366-8).

- AF SLEEVE, the new certification consolidates the results obtained for combustible pipes and insulated metal pipes. The designation “AF Sleeve” replaces the former names AF Sleeve B and AF Sleeves, both for the intumescent strip supplied in rolls and for the version enclosed in preformed plastic sleeves.

Other test results

We have expanded the certifications of the two-component polyurethane foam AF GRAPHIT FOAM, which underwent durability tests of 25 years in category Y1. We expect to receive the ETA certification by March 2026. In addition, we have carried out new tests on sandwich panels as well as on cross laminated timber walls. We focused on achieving EI 60 performance with reduced thicknesses, certifying 80 mm sandwich panels and 100 mm cross laminated timber (CLT) walls.

PV certifications

During 2025, we obtained PV certifications (Procès-Verbal de Classement) for the following products: 

AF BAGS - BRICK - PANEL - SEAL W - COLLAR - COLLAR C - MULTICOLLAR - SLEEVE - FLEX JOINT - GRAPHIT FOAM - JOINT - PIPEGUARD - SAFEGUARD - SEISMIC JOINT - SEAL W (the latter used both as a complementary product and for joint sealing).

These products are already compliant with European regulations thanks to ETA certification and CE marking. However, we decided to obtain this additional certification specifically for the French and Benelux markets.

Technical events

This year, we will be attending several key events in the fire safety sector:

- In Spain, from 24 to 27 February, we will be exhibiting at SICUR, the leading international security trade fair, in Madrid.

- Once again this year, we will be present at all stages of the SAFETY VILLAGE 2026 Tour across Italy: Bolzano, Brescia, Florence, Padua, Rome and Turin.

- We will also be present in France throughout 2026 with several technical initiatives. In particular, we would like to highlight the event taking place on 12 June, organized in cooperation with Aix-Marseille University, focused on technical and practical training.

We would also like to remind you that we have created a dedicated training area at our headquarters: AF ACADEMY. Through this initiative, we organize training courses dedicated to clients and industry professionals, focused on the theoretical and practical training of our firestop systems.

New price list

We updated our price list, applying only minimal increases. Some products have not been subject to any increase, while for others we have even been able to apply a price reduction.
